A South Asian rape gang who passed around two 13-year-old girls for their twisted sexual games have been jailed.
Prosecutors said the two victims endured five years of terror in the notorious United Kingdom community of Rochdale, where grooming gangs have long been a desperate problem.
Rochdale was where police and social workers turned their backs on the victims of the mostly Muslim gangs for fear of being called racist.
Now, the seven rapists who “passed” the girls around for sex in squalid apartments and lonely car parks are headed to prison for a total of 174 years.
Mohammed Zahid, 64, Kasir Bashir, 50, Mushtaq Ahmed, 66, Roheez Khan, 39, Mohammed Shahzad, 43, Nisar Hussain, 43, and Naheem Akram, 48, were jailed on Wednesday.
