State troopers are investigating a possible road rage shooting on Interstate 10 in the West Valley, according to officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Troopers went out to a reported shooting shortly before 10 a.m. on the westbound I-10 near 43rd Avenue in the Maryvale community of Phoenix, DPS officials said.
"We are investigating a possible road rage shooting at this time," DPS spokesperson Bart Graves emailed The Republic. "I don't have additional information."
Traffic in the area is delayed as law enforcement officers, whose vehicles are parked on the shoulder, investigate the incident. The HOV and left lanes are currently blocked, the Arizona Department of Transportation posted at 9:48 a.m. on X.com , formerly Twitter.
