Lacombe Police say they discovered a vacuum-sealed package containing about 60 grams of cocaine during the booking of a man arrested early last month.

Officers arrested 47-year-old Lacombe resident Michael Knox on Sept. 5 around 1:54 a.m. on an outstanding warrant.

During a search at the police station, officers say they found the drugs concealed on him.

Knox has been charged with possession of a controlled substance under Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Oct. 30.
