Fontana Police swooped in and saved the day for a young boy in the community. After responding to a burglary incident in which the child lost all of his birthday gifts, the officers pooled their money to buy him new presents — including a scooter his heart was set on.
“Knowing that his birthday was the next day and he had just gotten his gift stolen made us feel some kind of way,” Officer Cipriano Lopez said. “It’s horrible having someone break into your house and then steal your gifts.
“(We) wanted to help him out and make his birthday special.”
