Manhattan man died during last violent clash with husband: DA

HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) -- A Manhattan man is accused of attacking his husband three times this year, including a summer encounter that ended with his dead partner covered in blood and slumped over the toilet in their Harlem apartment, prosecutors said.

Donald Ziebenhood, 40, was indicted Wednesday on charges of assault, aggravated criminal contempt, burglary, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with three incidents this year, authorities said.

The defendant's husband, Jacob Zieben, died after their last clash in the Harlem apartment on West 138th Street on July 31.

During the confrontation, the victim called his father and told him the defendant had beaten and sliced him, and later sent him a photo of his face covered with blood from a gash wound, prosecutors said.
