CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Ohio Governor Mike DeWine asked a group of tax and county experts experts to sit on a working group and try and come up with ways to get relief for Ohioans seeing skyrocketing property taxes.

After meeting 10 times in the past couple of months the panel has produced 20 recommendations for DeWine and lawmakers.

There are a couple of areas the group focused on and one of them is getting voters clarity when they are being asked for tax levies by school districts.

The work group claims some voters get confused when a levy is put on a ballot as to whether it’s a new, renewal or emergency levy.

Another problem, according to lawmakers in Columbus, is some school districts in a sense are hording money beyond what they need for their budget.
