The Fever had six season-ending injuries prior to Mitchell exiting the 107-98 overtime loss at the Aces.
What was originally believed to be extreme cramping, Mitchell said she had Rhabdomyolysis.
Indiana Fever star Kelsey Mitchell suffered from rhabdomyolysis on Tuesday in Game 5, which led to her on-court collapse in the third quarter, she said in a post on Twitter .
The condition happens when muscles reach maximum capacity and stop producing, Mitchell said, and she went into a state of numbness and temporary paralysis.
