CARMEL, Maine — The northbound lane of Interstate 95 in Carmel has reopened after a crash caused a "full shutdown" of the area Wednesday afternoon.

Maine State Police asked motorists in a social media post around 3:41 p.m. to avoid the area. Police updated around 3:56 p.m. that all lanes are open again, and the area is clear.

NEWS CENTER Maine has sent crews to the area, where they saw a vehicle being removed from the scene around 4:30 p.m.
