Jackson Police say a 17-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the city’s latest homicide, which occurred Tuesday evening in the 3200 block of Bailey Avenue.

Detectives with JPD’s Homicide Unit, Narcotics Unit, K-9 Unit, and Task Force Officers, with assistance from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office and the Florence Police Department, located and arrested Kamran Boclair, 17, at a residence in Rankin County on Wednesday.

Boclair is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the case, according to police.

Interim Chief Tyree Jones thanked partner agencies for their support during the investigation and arrest.
