A week-long joint investigation by the Brandon and Florence police departments led to the early-morning arrest of 25-year-old Kemarius Armstrong, of Pearl, in connection with a series of recent auto burglaries across both cities.

Detectives from Florence, working alongside Brandon investigators, took Armstrong into custody on Wednesday after developing him as a suspect with the help of tips from residents. During the investigation, detectives determined Armstrong was in possession of multiple items confirmed stolen in the burglaries.
