ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A food service worker was charged for allegedly selling cigarettes to an inmate at the Rowan County Detention Center, according to the sheriff's office.
On October 1, Whitney Rebecca Bost, who is not employed by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, was arrested and charged with one count of providing tobacco products to an inmate.
Details on the investigation and how deputies discovered the alleged incident were not given.
Deputies say Bost was employed by a food service vendor who provides meals to the inmates.
She has been placed in jail on a $2,000 secured bond.
