CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Keithville man convicted last month of sexually assaulting a teenage family member has been sentenced.
Robert Mathews, 58, was found guilty of sexual battery in mid-September 2025 in a bench trial in Caddo District Court.
The young victim reported that Mathews had touched her inappropriately for nearly 6 months, with the assault eventually escalating to physical contact.
He will serve seven years of hard labor, without possibility of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
Mathews also must register as a sex offender for 15 years upon his release.
He was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Courtney N and Victoria T. Washington.
