ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - For more than three weeks, 12-year-old Claudia Bacon has been in the hospital after a tree fell on her and fractured her skull at an arts and crafts festival in Paulding County. But Wednesday morning, she returned home.
Claudia recalled her last memory before the injury was from school the day before.
“I was like, ‘Are you sure that happened?’ I was like, ‘Oh,’ and I just didn’t really understand,” she said.
She doesn’t remember Saturday, Sept. 6 at all, and doesn’t remember going to the Paulding Meadows Art Festival with a friend in Dallas.
“I don’t really remember the day,” said Claudia.
Her mother, Charlena, said she will never forget it.
