REYNOLDS, Ga. — A Reynolds city council member was arrested Wednesday for delaying the arrest of a suspect wanted for a double-homicide in Florida, according to a Facebook post from the Reynolds Police Department .

The police department says Timishea Price, the city council member for Post 5 in Reynolds, was arrested on Tuesday for hindering the search for a murder suspect from Florida.

The Facebook post said US Marshals contacted Reynolds PD about the search for James Daniels, 60, who was wanted for a double homicide that happened in Florida.

A South Florida news station said he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for a double-murder in 2020, but was set free due to a "procedural error" by the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
