YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- Hundreds of bronze cemetery vases and scroll plates were stolen from cemeteries across Pennsylvania to be sold to scrap yards, according to court documents.

Stephen Glassick, 40, of York, allegedly admitted to stealing vases from cemeteries, which include ones in York and Cumberland Counties, police said.

Police stated that when Glassick was asked which cemeteries, he allegedly said that if he was shown a map of them across Pennsylvania, it would be easier to cross off the ones he didn't steal from.

Glassick then went on to allegedly claim he stole thousands of vases and that he made $100,000 from selling them as scrap metal, police said.
