HASLETT, Mich. (WILX) - WILX’s Game of the Week for Week 6 of the high school football season is Williamston at Haslett. Both teams are 3-0 in conference and can clinch a share of the CAAC Red title with a win.

Williamston is 5-0 on the season after winning just three games last year. The Hornets haven’t allowed a point since Week 2, winning their last three games by a combined score of 106-0.

Williamston is led by 25th-year head coach Steve Kersten, who says the team’s senior leadership stepping up has been a big reason for their turnaround season.

Haslett is 4-1 this season and has won four straight after dropping its season opener at DeWitt. The Vikings are 3-0 in games decided by one possession this season, including a 20-12 win over Fowlerville last week.
