As federal shutdown strikes, officials look to help affected workers

As the federal government began its limited operations under a government shutdown, local, state, and federal officials announced services for workers impacted by the crisis, and waited to see what the effects will be be.

County Executive Jessica Fitzwater, Gov. Wes Moore, and U.S. Rep. April McClain Delaney, all Democrats, all said Wednesday they would work to help workers affected by the shutdown.
