STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police have identified Meiyun Chen, 66, of Charleston, as the woman fatally struck by a vehicle in Charleston early Wednesday morning .

Authorities responded to the pedestrian crash at around 6:05 a.m. at Veterans Road East and Bloomingdale Road, which is near the exchange for the West Shore Expressway and the Korean War Veterans Memorial Parkway.
