LITTLE RIVER-ACADEMY, Texas — It was a tight race, but rising star Brian Grissom, the dynamic running back from Little River-Academy, has officially been named KCEN's Week 6 Player of the Week.

Grissom earned the honor with yet another standout performance last week as the Academy Bumblebees took on the Whitney Wildcats. The Wildcats were aiming for a win, but Grissom made sure that didn’t happen.

The senior running back put on a show, tallying 140 rushing yards, scoring three touchdowns on the ground and adding another through the air, helping lead Academy to a 49-30 victory.
