FOREST CITY, Iowa — Waldorf University's Creative Writing department will welcome Dr. Samantha Edmonds as part of their Distinguished Visiting Writer Series on October 30 at 4 p.m. in the Johnson Ballroom.

Dr. Edmonds, an Assistant Professor at Berry College in Georgia, will read from her story collection "A Preponderance of Starry Beings" and her chapbooks "Pretty to Think So" and "The Space Poet." Her work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency.

The event is free and open to the public.
