ROCHESTER, Minn. — The City of Rochester is accepting applications for the 2026 Rochester Garden Grants.
This program funds the creation of pollinator habitats and rain gardens, which beautify neighborhoods and provide environmental benefits like supporting pollinators and reducing water runoff.
Applications are open until December 31, with gardens to be established in the 2026 growing season. Eligible expenses include garden design, plants, and soil amendments. The grant is available to Rochester residents, community organizations, and schools.
Resources, including design templates and plant lists, are provided by Blue Thumb and the University of Minnesota Extension . Applicants can also seek guidance from Extension Master Gardener volunteers.
