LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas will host a remembrance for the victims of the October 1, 2017, mass shooting. It will occur at the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden in central Las Vegas.

The event, which starts just after 10 p.m., honors the memory of those killed during the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest festival. The names of each of the 58 victims will be read, a bell will toll and a candle will be lit.

The Oct. 1 shooting in Las Vegas is recognized as the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Mayor Pro Tem Brian Knudsen and city Communications Director David Riggleman are set to read the names at Wednesday night’s ceremony.
