Goodyear Blimp Carries Snoopy and Future Service Dogs in Milestone Flight

The skies above Southern California recently carried some very special passengers. As part of a celebration marking multiple anniversaries, the Goodyear Blimp flew with Snoopy from the Peanuts gang and a group of future service dogs destined to change lives.

The flight honored three milestones at once: the Goodyear Blimp’s 100th anniversary, Snoopy’s 75th birthday, and 50 years of Canine Companions, the nonprofit that provides service dogs to people with disabilities completely free of charge.

Onboard the blimp were young puppies who will one day become fully trained service dogs. They were greeted by a cheering crowd of volunteer puppy raisers, each committed to helping guide the pups through their first 18 month
