A body has been discovered on a busy Brisbane street after police were alerted to a sudden death on Thursday morning.

Police were called to the death on Adelaide Street in the city's CBD around 7.15am.

The death is non-suspicious, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said.

The coroner will be notified and a report will be prepared, they added.

Queensland Ambulance Service had rushed to the incident about 7am.

Paramedics had been called to a "public location" on Adelaide Street, a spokesperson said.

"However this incident is believed to be medical in nature and no further information can be provided," they said.
