DUBLIN —

Many Western Pennsylvanians traveled to Ireland and watched the Pittsburgh Steelers win the first regular-season NFL game ever played in the country.

For two Steelers fans, the trip came with another unforgettable memory: an engagement. Advertisement

"Just like a dream," said bride-to-be Carrie Wenner. "It was magical."

For Wenner, visiting Ireland was a lifelong dream.

“My mom and I, while I was growing up, it was one of our things that we always wanted to go to Ireland together, and my mom passed away at the end of last year," she said. "When this opportunity came about, it was kind of like it was meant to be.”
