Thousands of Commonwealth Bank customers have reported an online banking outage on Thursday.

Within an hour, over 7000 people reported impacts to their online banking, mobile banking and money transfers from about 11.10am, according to Downdetector.

CommBank has apologised for the impact to services, and added that ATMs are also being restored.

“Some of our services are currently unavailable, and we’re urgently working to fix this,” the bank said.

“We apologise and appreciate your patience.”

Netizens quickly flocked to social media to share how the outage has already impacted them.

“Yep, overseas and got no money,” one customer wrote on X.

“I’m so glad I saw this before going out today. I’m bringing cash,” another said.
