OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A professional volleyball league is coming to Omaha. But unlike the Supernovas and LOVB, this group will only be in town for two weeks.
Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball enters its fifth season, but will be making its first trip to the Cornhusker State.
“Nebraska has claimed the title as the volleyball state and I think that’s fair,” said Cassidy Lichtman, Athletes Unlimited vice president of volleyball. “They asked me where I wanted to put the season and I was like ‘my No. 1 choice is Nebraska.’”
The league features 44 players who compete on rotating teams. Players are scored individually to determine a champion.
