Security has been stepped up at every synagogue in Greater Manchester following this morning's suspected terror attack .

Armed police have shot a suspect after four people were injured when a car was driven at members of the public outside Heaton Park synagogue, on Middleton Road in Crumpsall, at around 9.30am.

Firearms officers were deployed after reports a security guard was stabbed.

Three other people have been injured in the incident, either by the car driven at people or by the stabbing, GMP says. The condition of the victims and the suspect is not yet known.
