SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - It is going to be a warm Thursday, but in what has been an otherwise dry week, we will have a few spotty showers and thunderstorms over the region this afternoon.

Expect a mostly clear and comfortable morning with temperatures in the 60s at sunrise. Our wind has shifted to the east, and we will tap into some tropical air, which will trigger some of these isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Given these pockets of rain will pop up to our east, the rain chance will be highest in Arkansas and Louisiana. Severe weather is not expected, but lightning is possible with any storms that develop. Highs will be in the upper 80s and low 90s.
