Mangaluru, Oct 2: Rich tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahaddur Shastri at Expert P.U. College in Valachil to mark the occasion of their birth anniversaries.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, the principal of the college presided over the ceremony and delivered an inspiring speech. Paying floral tribute to the icons, he emphasized Gandhi's selfless struggles and how he weaponised non-violence against British Empire which made him a renowned global leader. Dr. Karippal encouraged the students to emulate Gandhi's ideals.
