REHOBETH, Ala. (WDHN) Rehobeth is having their "Senior Center Kick-Off" event to bring the senior community together and celebrate the opening of Rehobeth's much needed senior center.

The event invited the senior community to the new senior center to have a free lunch, participate in interactive games and talk about what the community wants to expect and have planned for the center.

There is already a lot of events planned at the center, like the local fire and rescue department showing the senior citizens what they can do to help them be safe and a Thanksgiving dinner with a penny auction.

The center will be opened from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. one day a week, then it will soon move to 2 days a week.
