It’s been an eventual 24 hours for Chloe Ricketts, but the soccer teen star has found her new professional home.

Ricketts, 18, was signed by the Boston Legacy Football Club on Wednesday on the same day she was traded from the Washington Spirit to the Houston Dash in exchange for $15,000 in transfer threshold funds.

Boston Legacy FC reached a pre-contract agreement with the Spirit, with Ricketts set to officially join the team in January after finishing the 2025 NWSL season on a short-term deal with the Dash.

Ricketts’ deal with Boston Legacy FC runs through the 2028 season with a mutual option for the 2029 campaign.

The Dexter native became the youngest player to sign with an NWSL team in 2023 when she signed with the Spirit at the age of 15.

She logged more than 1,000 minutes
