Xbox has shocked its players after revealing that its popular subscription service is getting a huge price increase that will see players paying 50% more per year. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate allows gamers to play a huge library of Xbox titles across both console and PC, but the service is seeing a major overhaul with changes across all tiers.

The biggest change to note is that day one Xbox releases will no longer come to the Standard Xbox Game Pass tier. Instead, that tier is now called 'Premium', with new Xbox releases arriving on the service 'within a year of launch'.
