A Cambridge graduate who tragically died after refusing chemotherapy was "adversely influenced" by her conspiracy theorist mother, whose actions were deemed "incomprehensible" by a coroner.

Paloma Shemirani, 23, collapsed on July 19 last year and was rushed to Royal Sussex County Hospital where she died five days later.

She had previously declined treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, opting instead for an "alternative" treatment plan that included daily coffee enemas, as advised by her parents.

An osteopath who examined Miss Shemirani on the morning of her collapse stated he had "never seen" a lymphoid mass like hers in his 43 years of practice.
