A tropical wave is moving off the coast of Africa over the next day or two. It may bump into another disturbance in the eastern tropical Atlantic. This could help it grow a little, but it's moving quickly to the west and northwest at about 15-20 mph. Advertisement

SOUTHWESTERN ATLANTIC:

Another area of low pressure may form near the northwestern Bahamas and southern Florida by Saturday. Any growth will likely be slow while the system moves northwest across Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico--bringing it coser to southeast Louisiana.
