SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A Sacramento County mother is in jail after violently attacking her spouse and children, leaving them with visible injuries, cuts and possibly broken bones, officials said Thursday.

Farishta Rahimi, 38, is now in the Sacramento County Jail on charges that include corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, child endangerment, corporal punishment/injury to a child, threats to commit crime resulting in death or great bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon, jail records show.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said that, at the request of investigators because of the violent nature of the case, a judge authorized a $500,000 bail enhancement.
