SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Thursday is expected to bring rainy conditions to parts of Northern California amid another day of below-average temperatures.

Meteorologist Tamara Berg said morning commuters are likely to come across soggy roads as periods of rain could fall between the 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. hours.

The Sacramento Valley is likely to see lighter amounts of rain compared to the Foothills and Sierra. Berg said isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon along and south of Interstate 80 in the Sierra.
