Police have issued a major update on the device that was being worn by the suspect who was shot dead following an attack outside a synagogue in north Manchester.
The attack, which killed two people and left four others seriously injured, has been deemed terrorist incident. A car was driven at members of the public before innocent victims were stabbed outside Heaton Park synagogue, on Middleton Road in Crumpsall.
The suspect, who was wearing what police said appeared to be an 'explosive vest', was shot at the scene by armed police at around at 9.30am - seven minutes after the emergency call was made.
