CHINATOWN — A 28,000-square-foot commercial building with a riverfront restaurant is being planned for a vacant city lot in Chinatown, city officials announced Thursday.
Developer Mao S. Mei plans to turn a 0.95-acre city-owned lot at 944 W. Cermak Road into a $6 million three-story building with space for medical and professional offices and 200 feet of riverfront space, and the city’s Department of Planning and Development has accepted the proposal, according to a Thursday city news release.
