ALBANY PARK — The mother and her two young children detained by federal agents Sunday in Millennium Park have been released at the order of a federal judge — while their father remains in custody.

The Ramirez-Chavez family was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at Millennium Park during a family outing Sunday. The Tribune reported that the family was taken to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing center in Broadview before the mother, Noemi Chavez, her 8-year-old daughter, Dasha Ramirez, and her 3-year-old son were moved to O’Hare’s immigration-customs enforcement area at Terminal 5.
