AKRON, Ohio – Akron City Council this week announced the launch of the 2025-26 Neighborhood Partnership Grant Program.

The community initiative will invest $150,000 into Akron neighborhoods. The program aims to boost collaboration, support community projects, and enhance the health and wellbeing of residents, according to a news release.

“As federal resources continue to decline, it is more important than ever that we support our neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Partnership Grant Program allows us to invest directly in residents’ ideas and empower them to shape solutions that make our communities stronger, healthier, and more connected,” Council President Margo Sommerville said in the release.
