NANTUCKET, Mass. —
Nantucket is remembering a beloved member of its community who drowned earlier this week while paddleboarding.
The Cape and Islands District Attorney said Somwong Kyomitmaitee was reported missing after going to check a boat moored in Polpis Harbor on Wednesday. He was later found dead on the shore.
His death does not appear to be suspicious, the district attorney's office said.
Kyomitmaitee was affectionately known as the "King of Shing." WCVB highlighted him and his shingling business on Chronicle earlier this year.
