MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Ouachita Parish School Board reports that Kiroli Elementary School returned to normal school days for two school weeks. This follows extensive and continuous flea treatments and wildlife deterrents.
The flea treatments are merely preventive at this point and another round of treatment is scheduled for Thursday after the students are dismissed.
This comes after Kiroli Elementary announced student dismissal due to an infestation.
Students originally returned on Sept. 16, but fleas were still found inside the school, so the students were released once more that same day.
" We appreciate the vendors for working closely with our staff to keep Kiroli Elementary School open and operating,” the Ouachita Parish School Board said in a statement.
