DALLAS — Chili's purists, take a deep breath.
You only have a few days to order your last skillet full of Chili's beef and white queso. The Dallas-founded chain announced Thursday it is axing its Beef Skillet Queso and White Queso and replacing them with a new Southwest Queso.
Chili's said its skillet queso is one of its least popular menu items, accounting for less than 1% of sales, according to a press release from the company. The last day to order the skillet queso is Oct. 6. The menu item has been around since the 1990s, according to the Dallas Morning News , which first reported the change.
