PARMA, Ohio (WJW) – Could the City of Parma get an official city mascot? That’s exactly what a new resolution in the city is trying to do.

On Tuesday, Parma City Council members will join Mayor Tim DeGeeter and Metroparks CEO Brian Zimmerman in front of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s flamingo habitat at 1 p.m. for a presentation and a signing of the resolution making the flamingo the official city mascot.

Before the meeting, the city council will meet on Monday to vote on the resolution that is “expected to be passed unanimously,” a press release from the city said.
