ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - General Mills announced it is closing a pizza crust manufacturing facility in St. Charles.

The company said it is in an effort to cut costs.

The facility is off Elm Street in an industrial part of St. Charles.

General Mills also said it was closing two plants in Joplin.

The company said all three will close by early next summer.
