WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky man convicted of stabbing a six-year-old boy to death is out of prison .

Records with the Kentucky Department of Corrections list Ronald Exantus as out of custody.

Exantus was convicted of killing six-year-old Logan Tipton and stabbing his father and two sisters in Woodford County in 2015. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison .

“In the United States, we are innocent until proven guilty. I understand that. But what was there to prove? I caught him. I caught him. He didn’t make it out of my house. He admitted it to the detectives,” said Logan’s father, Dean Tipton.

Nearly a decade after Logan’s death, Tipton says he still doesn’t understand Exantus’ not-guilty verdict on his murder charge.
