DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - While runners still have about nine months to train for Grandma’s Marathon, some race records were already shattered Wednesday night as registration went live.

Runner Linden Pezalla took part in the mad dash to register.

“I heard that everyone was gonna try for it,” said Pezalla. “I mean, it’s the 50th anniversary, it’s kind of a big deal, and they’re probably gonna do something super fun for it. It’s definitely not a race you want to miss.”

She landed bibs for herself and two family members for the full marathon, which sold out in a record time of 12 hours.
