ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Workers with the St. Louis County transportation department began a repaving project in the 4,000 block of Weber Road last week. But the workers only paved one side of the street.
“This side is county, the other side is city,” said Larry Kerperien.
Kerperien has owned Larry J’s bar on Weber Road for 30 years. The city limits between the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County runs down the middle of the street.
“The county does their side and then the city comes back later and does their side. I don’t understand it,” he said.
St. Louis city and county cooperate when it comes to policing, economic development and the Zoo-Museum District. But residents wonder why they choose to go their own ways on Weber Road.
