WARREN, MI – A 22-year-old man will serve one year behind bars for a crash that killed one person and seriously injured another earlier this year.

Tayassukh Ayman, of Warren, was sentenced Wednesday, Oct. 1, for charges related to a February car crash that killed 53-year-old Mohammed Ali, also of Warren, according to a news release from Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido.

Ayman will serve 364 days in the Macomb County Jail, followed by two years of probation. He was sentenced by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti, Lucido said.

Ayman pleaded guilty in August to charges of moving violation causing death and moving violation causing serious impairment of a body function, Lucido’s office said.
